Energy

Organic agriculture systems use the 45% less of energy and produce the 40% less of greenhouse gas emissions comparing with the conventional ones.

Soil fertility

Respect for soil fertility through crop rotation and natural fertilizers like compost or planting of different cultivation. Organic land can keep 10 times the quantity of carbons more than conventional farmin.

Defense

The defense from parasites is conducted through vegetal, mineral or animal product.

Residues in conventional fruits and vegetables constitute the main source of human pesticide exposures.

Land

There are controls, but not as part of an organic certification process.

Energy

Intensive agriculture method consumes more energy for the same quantity of land. Conventional agriculture causes a loss between the 25% and the 75% of the carbon contained in the soil.

Soil fertility

Intensive use of soil doesn’t use crop rotation. Chemicals fertilizers exploit soil fertility and affect biodiversity, while reducing the long term environmental sustainability.

Defense

The fight against parasites is conducted through chemical products.
