A real Italian Aperitivo!

On a hot summer’s day, your body is asking for something to quench that thirst but also to savor or pair with some healthy Organic snacks in the evening after work. That is one of the main reasons Italian “aperitivos” or ‘aperitifs’ were invented, a combination of spritzes (light alcoholic beverages) mixed with soda to pair with a snack before dinner. Mixing diverse eclectic sodas, from Organic Chinotto to different Organic Ginger beers and Ginger Ales to Oakwood Tonics and flavored sodas. Here is an easy-to-make aperitivo recipe.

Pinksoda Spritz (4 to 5 servings)

  • 4 bottles Organic Italian Pinksoda
  • 1 bottle Organic Prosecco
  • 1 bottle of fizzy water
  • Ice
  • Mint leaves
  • 4 slices of lemon

Instructions:

  1. Mix in a 2-liter jug the Organic Pinksoda bottles with 2/3 prosecco and 1/3 fizzy water. Add Ice, mint leaves, and slices of lemon. Serve chilled.

Serve fresh for a real Italian Aperitivo with Italian Organic Cured Artichokes, Organic Cured Sundried tomatoes, Organic Seasoned Olives, whole wheat Organic Crackers, Organic Italian Parmesan Cheese, and garnish with Organic Italian Balsamic Vinegar Cream. This pairing will be a real feast for the eyes to savor for a special occasion or just to relax Italian style at the end of a hard day’s work.
